An Arab (Banderas) has been exiled from his home and in his travels runs across some Vikings. A messenger arrives asking for the Vikings help to protect a village that is being ravaged by evil creatures. It is determined that 13 warriors will go, twelve of them are Vikings. You'll never guess who becomes number 13?

The action is interlaced with good dialogue and wit. And do not get too concerned about having to listen to someone always having to translate what is being said, they solve this problem with the Arab learning the language and then suddenly everyone is speaking English.

The creatures only attacked at night so that means most of the really good action scenes are shot in the dark. Omar Sharif doesn't get enough screen time and learning a new language isn't nearly as easy as they portray it.

If you're a Banderas fan or just a fan of action movies, this is definitely worth your time. This is one of those hidden jewels that many people don't know about.
