Discover how Wolverine goes from a simple mutant to the being he is during his stint with the X-Men. He, along with his half-brother, fight in wars along the centuries when it is discovered during their execution in Vietnam that they are immortal. The Army recruits them into a special forces unit that Wolverine eventually leaves out of disgust. After a personal tragedy he rejoins to seek revenge.

You get what you expect with this film, lots of action/special effects and Hugh Jackman; I'm sure the ladies will appreciate the latter. The dialogue was much better than I was expecting and the acting benefited from it.

While the dialogue was strong, the script had a great number of holes and completely unexplainable events. The finale was also just too much of everyone but the title character of the film; be prepared to see many different mutant abilities. Lastly, how does a bullet erase ones memory?

Fans of the X-Men series should be very happy with this film and I hope they continue with the franchise. This doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is; a popcorn munching special effects laden action film.
