Plot

A police officer (Woodward) goes to a remote British island to investigate the disappearance of a local girl. When he arrives, he finds a Pagan community that denies the girl ever existed that is led by Lord Summerisle (Lee).

Pros

Christopher Lee and Edward Woodward were perfectly cast for their roles. For those of you out there that wished Britt Ekland would have lost her bikini top in "The Man with the Golden Gun", look no further. This is one of those films that needs to be watched more than once and with a runtime of 88 minutes, that isn't hard to accomplish.

Cons

This is a strange movie with a rather large cult following even after all these years. Some of the singing is annoying but for this film it seems strangely appropriate.

Extras

  • "The Wicker Man Enigma" Featurette
  • TV/Radio Spots
  • Talent Bios
  • Theatrical Trailer

Recommendation

A strange but fun little movie, I'd like to get my hands on the film before they edited it. I suspect if I invited eight friends over to watch this movie, half of them would like the film and half would look at me like I'd lost my mind.
