Plot

Wallace and his trusty pooch Gromit (the brains of this duo) have formed a business to keep rabbits away from people's gardens prior to the annual giant vegetable contest. Along the way things get screwed up and they have to contend with a giant rabbit that threatens the contest itself.

Pros

The stop-motion animation for this film is excellent; filmed at 24 shots per second. There are a number of humorous moments and some adult references if you're paying attention.

Cons

Either my expectations were too high or you need to be a fan and very familiar with Wallace and Gromit prior to watching this film. It was entertaining in a juvenile sort of way, just not all that captivating. I'm assuming Wallace is an inventor at heart and Gromit is always bailing him out of bad situations.

Recommendation

It's a fun little film that, at least for me, didn't stand up to all the hype. I'm sure my overall ignorance to these characters didn't help. This is definitely safe for the kiddies and I suspect they'll find this film to be all sorts of fun.
