Plot

Vampire slayers working for the Catholic church hunt down and kill a group of vampires holed up in an abandoned house. They got everyone but the head vampire that hunts them down that evening in an out-of-the way hotel while they are partying with a bunch of hookers (yes there is plenty of T&A). One of the hookers is bitten and is used by the two surviving slayers to hunt down the leader.

Pros

James Woods plays the leader of the slayers and the lovely Sheryl Lee is the unfortunate infected hooker that they're using. It is a different take on vampires that includes and interesting and original twist involving the Catholic Church.

Cons

Daniel Baldwin can not act. His brother Alec isn't the greatest actor in the world (nor will he be winning any father of the year awards after his latest voice mail to his daughter) but compared to Daniel, he's brilliant. This is a big movie idea shot on a low budget.

Extras

  • Commentary With Director John Carpenter
  • Theatrical Trailers

Recommendation

According to IMDb, the budget for this film was cut by 2/3 before filming began which is sad. I would have liked to have seen this movie done with a decent budget. Even with that said, this is a fun film for anyone that likes vampire movies.
