Plot

This starts off where Underworld left off. Selene (Beckingsale) and Michael (Speedman) are traveling together avoiding the Vampires that are hunting them. They're pretty much a couple now and as the movie progresses, more of the past history of Vampires and Lycans is revealed. If you haven't seen Underworld, it would be advantageous to do so before watching this sequel.

Pros

There are even more special effects than the first movie. There is a really cool scene involving a vampire and a truck. For those of you hoping to see more of Beckingsale, you will but don't get your hopes up, you won't get to see everything. :-)

Cons

This just didn't have the feel of the first movie. This movie was all about special effects and fight scenes and less about the story. They could have also dropped all of the flashbacks to the original movie.

Recommendation

This is a fun movie, certainly worth the time watching. Hopefully they will end this franchise here, unlike another popular Vampire franchise that just had to do a third movie ("Underworld: Trinity" anyone?).
