The world has two types of beings, humans and hemophages and they are at war; the latter was the result of man playing with nature trying to develop a super being. Hemophages have extraordinary abilities but short life spans and are on the verge of extinction. Their lead bad-ass, Violet (Jovovich), is tasked with intercepting a new weapon the humans have developed that will wipe the hemophages off the planet. Yet another movie apparently based on a comic book.

Pros |
It's an original story with some good special effects. Milla does her normal job of kicking butt and looking good at the same time. There are lots of colors and some original sets. The extras were interesting; it seems that the actors were quite excited about the project (or they were paid well to come across that way). |
Cons |
Most of the fight scenes are so far over-the-top it will make you roll your eyes. This was a great idea; unfortunately the script was less than stellar. |

If you're a fan of the comic book or just have to see Milla kick some more ass, then you'll want to check this out. Do not watch this movie thinking it's a vampire movie; they're not that kind of vampire. |
