As the title implies, this is a love story brought to you only as Quentin Tarantino can (he wrote the screenplay but did not direct; he sold it and used the money to do Reservoir Dogs). A young man (Slater) meets and falls in love with a call girl from Florida (Arquette). They get married after one day, steal drugs from her pimp and then head to Hollywood to sell them. Of course the drug dealers aren't happy about this and eventually the cops get involved and all the fun comes to a head.

I could write a thousand words describing all the great things about this film but I promised on the home page I would keep things short and sweet; so here it is.

• This is one of the most original stories put to film.
• Every actor was cleverly cast and played their roles to perfection. Much of the acting was over-the-top which just added to the fun. Major kudos has to go out to Slater, Arquette (in all her absolute loveliness), Oldman, Hopper, Walken, Kilmer, Pinchot, Gandolfini and Pitt.
• This is a romance story that every guy will love and some, if not most, women can appreciate (or at the very least, sit through).

If you're easily offended by the F word (it is used throughout) or dislike violence and overall crudeness, this film is definitely not for you.

If you like Tarantino's work you'll have to own this. If the only thing you dislike about his work are that his stories are not told in a linear fashion, this is not one of those. This is one of my all-time favorite movies but it definitely isn't for everyone. Needless to say, not only keep your children out of the room but also out of hearing distance.
