Plot |
This is a Russian horror movie that revolves around some bank robbers and their hostages as they hide in the underground sewers. Unfortunately for them, they are not alone.

Pros |
Well, you do have to give them credit for originality. How many other movies like this have you seen that takes place in underground Russia involving bank robbers, their hostages and a pick ax wielding monster with an eye fetish? There's not a whole lot of gore in this film but what it does have is effective; especially when eyes are plucked out. The English dubbing is effective for those of you that aren't fluent in Russian and hate subtitles. And last but not least, the criminals had good taste in hostages; the two bank tellers are very lovely. |
Cons |
This follows the same storyline as other "hunted vs hunter" horror movies. You already know that there will be few if any survivors and they will all be picked off one at a time in violent and nasty ways. I would have also liked to have seen some extras; especially a making-of featurette. |

Recommendation |
The movie is only 81 minutes long and even though the first hour is fairly slow and predictable, the last 15-20 minutes picks up steam and is worth the wait. Even so, this movie is strictly for fans of this genre. |
