Plot |
A group of troopers retreat to an are trapped in an outpost that is surrounded by bugs. Inside they find a prisoner that was accused of killing his previous commanding officer. Without him they can not survive.
|
Pros |
The special effects are actually pretty good for a low-budget straight-to-video film. They add a nice twist to the plot and there's plenty of eye-candy for both sexes. |
Cons |
Some of the acting and lines will make you wince. Everything is shot in the dark to help hide the fact that there wasn't much of a budget. |

Recommendation |
This film only has three things in common with the original; there are troopers, there are bugs, and one actor from the original film (Brenda Strong) playing a different role but you might not remember her if you weren't paying attention. For the most part the critics really tore into this movie, especially if they were a fan of the original. Personally, I didn't think it was really all that bad. |
