Plot

A man referred to as Buffalo Bill (Levine) is going around killing young women. The FBI sends a young trainee (Foster) to interview a psychopath (Hopkins) to try to gain some clues. The next two hours consist of two things; a cat-and-chase movie with the FBI trying to catch the killer before he kills a Senator's daughter and Hopkins doing what he does best.

Pros

This movie didn't win five Academy Awards because it wasn't any good (both Hopkins and Foster were winners). Hopkins' performance is one of the most memorable ones in movie history; Levine plays a really sick killer; and Dr. Chilton (Heald) may actually be the biggest creep in the movie. I loved the ending, I wished it could have lasted a little longer; I would have liked to have seen what we all know happened.

Cons

This movie certainly earned its R rating; not for those who are squeamish or for young children.
