Plot

A down-on-his-luck 29 year old man is simultaneously faced with numerous pitfalls in life; his girlfriend of three years dumps him, he has a dead end job, he hates his stepfather and his best friend/roommate is an unemployed leach. When he finally decides to straighten his life out, all zombie hell breaks lose.

Pros

This is the movie that shows how to incorporate humor and horror without making it cheesy (see Army of Darkness). The characters are completely believable, the humor isn't over-the-top and there's still plenty of blood and gore. Don't just concentrate on the main actor in a scene, take the time to watch what's going on in the background.

Cons

Horror fans looking for something "scary" will be disappointed. Though there is plenty of gore to go around, this is a comedy first.

Recommendation

This is the zombie movie for people that both like and dislike the genre. There's still gore for the fans yet enough storyline and humor for non horror enthusiasts. And even though this is a British film with a British cast, you don't have to be a Monty Python fan to enjoy it though I'm certain their fans will nonetheless.
