A doctor and his sister have taken refuge on a space craft that makes most of it's living through robbery. He had broken his sister out of a Top Secret covert government (the Alliance) facility where they were turning her into a "weapon". The crew tries to discover what's going on while avoiding the assassin that's out to get them.

A strong storyline, wonderful actors and plenty of witty one-liners. This isn't your standard brain-dead action flick. And hey men, the ladies in this film are all very lovely.

You don't need to be familiar with the TV series this spun off of (Firefly) but it certainly won't hurt. You'll be much more familiar with everyone if you've at least seen some of the TV episodes. And by now, you can pick up the entire series for under $20.

This is a must for all fans of Firefly and a high recommendation to people that like more to their movies than fluff. If you're a fan of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" or "Angel" TV Series, this film was done by the same person; Joss Whedon.
