The warrior Mathayus (Johnson) is hired to kill the sorcerer of the evil king that is terrorizing the local free tribes. The sorcerer is the source of the king's powers. Of course there are complications; many arise from the fact that the sorcerer is a very beautiful woman (Hu).

Dwayne Johnson carries this film on his wide shoulders with his charisma and humor. If you like fight/action scenes you will not be disappointed. Throw in Duncan's size and humor and the very lovely Hu, you can't help but have a really fun time. Take the time to check out the extras for some more laughs; the actors obviously had a good time working on this film.

This is another simple good vs evil movie and everyone knows who's going to win; it's just a matter of how. Personally I wish it would have lasted longer than the short 92 minute runtime.
