Plot

He's back! This time Jigsaw throws eight people into a building that has poison gas seeping into it. They must find all the antidotes to the poison before they die. Included in this group is Amanda (Smith), the only person to survive from the first movie. Also included is the son of a cop; a cop who has something in common with the rest of the people in the building.

Pros

This movie picks up where the other left off both in script and in gore (actually I think this has even more gore). Smith truly shines in this film; we'll be seeing more of her in movies in the future. Tobin Bell is a very convincing as an evil villain. At least the plot is different than the original while keeping the overall theme the same. And, like the original, you'll love the ending and will be eagerly awaiting the next sequel; at least I am.

Cons

Nothing against Donnie, but it's too bad they couldn't have gotten his brother Mark instead. I know I've mentioned this before, and am certain I will again, but I really hate needles.

Recommendation

If you liked the first film in this series, and I would highly suggest you watch it first, you should like this movie just as well. It sheds some light on how some of the individuals from the first movie fared and the much needed background of Jigsaw.
