There's a little old town in the old west that runs a Quick Draw Competition. This town, like most towns in movie westerns, is run by a bad man (Hackman). A woman (Stone) rides into town with an agenda, due to her past, and enters the contest.

This movie has a simple plot with a number of interesting turns but its strongest feature of this movie are the actors starring in it. Honestly, has Hackman ever done a bad film? And for those of you that are members of the DiCaprio Haters Club, a club I'm a member of from time-to-time, you shouldn't have any problems with him in this film.

Eyes! You will have numerous close-up views of everyone's eyes. When they're not focusing in on people's eyes, you'll get plenty of close-ups of the clock.

This is an uncomplicated film that you won't take anything from but should enjoy nonetheless (even though it does have a very "Hollywood" type ending). I wish Gene Hackman would play more roles like this.
