Plot |
A loving husband (Schreiber) is distraught to learn that the child his wife (Stiles) was delivering was stillborn. In an effort to cheat death, and unbeknownst to his wife, he accepts another baby from the church as a replacement. He was told the child's mother died while giving birth at the same time his child died. Once the child turns five, people start suffering some rather bizarre deaths. Could the child really be the Antichrist like a seemingly crazed priest claims?

Pros |
A good story but obviously not an original one. There is very little different from the first movie other than the actors and the soundtrack. Obviously today’s technology helped improve the video, audio and special effects. |
Cons |
The one thing that makes the first movie work better than this version is the soundtrack. The original soundtrack added a foreboding sense to the movie; this soundtrack really doesn’t do much to add to the atmosphere of the film. |

Recommendation |
This is a good film, just not as good as the original mostly due to the soundtrack. The extras are "Ok" but nothing to get excited about. |
