Plot |
Johnathan Harker is sent to the Carpathian Mountains to visit Count Dracula and offer him a building in town to take up residence in. Unfortunately, Count Dracula is also a vampire.

Pros |
Though this isn't identical to the original silent version of Nosferatu, the storyline and visuals are very close to the same. This stays true to the story and keeps Dracula as a hideous creature as opposed to the suave blood sucker he's evolved into. Kinski's portrayal of Dracula is a classic. |
Cons |
This movie proceeds at a very slow and deliberate pace; I suspect it will be too slow for some people. Part of me also wishes it would have been filmed in Black & White as opposed to color. If you're looking for blood and gore, look at some of the more modern vampire movies. |
Extras |

Recommendation |
This is easily the creepiest vampire movie (with sound) that I've seen yet when I ask around, few people I know have heard of it. You know from the very opening scene with the mummified bodies and eerie music that this isn't going to be a "typical" vampire film. |
