Plot |
A hunter stumbles across a drug deal that went bad in the middle of the Texas desert. He finds two million dollars and claims it as his own. That night he suffers from a self-acknowledged brain fart while trying to sleep and heads back out to the scene. Before all is said and done he's on the run and has three groups of people after him; one just wants the money back while the other two want the money and his life.

Pros |
There's one thing you can count on when watching a Coen Brother's film and that's great dialogue; you really need to listen carefully at what's being said. Tommy Lee Jones, as always, is great as the aging small-town sheriff, Josh Brolin is a convincing Vietnam Vet on the run and quite handy with guns but Javier Barden steels most of the show as the most callous cold-hearted killer I can recall in recent cinematic history; he's not much of a conversationalist but what he says is worth listening to. |
Cons |
If you're looking for a lot of non-stop action then you're looking in the wrong place. For a movie that has the type of violence scattered throughout there really isn't much gore. You don't want to be distracted while watching this or you will certainly miss something. |

Recommendation |
If you're already familiar with movies that the Coen's have done then you already know whether or not this one is for you. If you haven't, this is just as good as any of the others to get your feet wet. |
