A group of astronauts goes to Mars and, after an unexplainable occurrence, three of the four are dead and it is unknown how long the fourth has survived. A second group is sent on a rescue mission.

Some good visuals with a strong cast; I'll give any movie a try if it stars either Gary Sinise or Connie Nielson. If you like the colors red and orange, you'll love the Mars surface shots.

Boring! Even the hyped up "emergencies" are dull (one is resolved with Dr. Pepper). Then they had to throw in a feel good "love story" by having two of the rescue team members being married and another member that just recently lost his astronaut wife. How many real-life marriages are there between astronauts anyway?

If you're a sci-fi nut or one of your favorite actors is in this film it's worth a look; just don't get too excited. The ending was cool yet parts of it were predictable.
