Plot

It's ten years later and Zorro is still protecting the people at the expense of his wife and son. So, she leaves him and hooks up with a French Aristocrat who happens to be planning the destruction of California.

Pros

The only really positive thing I can say about this film is that the lovely Catherine Zeta-Jones gets a lot of screen time. She has a larger role in this film than she had in the last.

Cons

The first ten minutes of this film will leave you shaking your head; over-the-top "James Bond-like" stunts, sword fights and an attempt at humor (note, the word attempt). This is just a silly film that is extremely predictable and overly long. Oh, and if you thought the first Zorro movie was watered down, check the rating for this one. Maybe, one day, there will be a Zorro movie for adults.

Extras

  • Director and Cinematographer Commentary
  • Deleted Scenes with Optional Director's Commentary
  • Four Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes: Stunts, Visual Effects, Armand's Party and Playing With Trains
  • Two Multi-Angle Scen Deconstructions

Recommendation

Even die hard fans of the actors should think twice before picking this film up. Granted there are worse movies out there, these people at least tried, but there are a lot better movies to check out.
