A group, the Illuminati, is out to capture an artifact that will allow them to control time. Lara Croft (Jolie) must keep this from happening while struggling with her emotions concerning her dead father (which, ironically, is played by her real-life and estranged father Jon Voight). Yet another movie based on a video game I never played.

This is an entertaining movie with lots of action and Angelina Jolie (for those of you that drool over her).

Try to come up with something memorable about this film the day after you watch it other than Jolie's outfits (for those of you that might have noticed them).

According to IMDb this is the highest grossing action film with a female lead; obviously a lot of teenage boys kept going back to the theater for more. This is just an average but fun action movie; feel free to drink a couple of cold ones and disconnect your brain.
