Plot

A blacksmith (Bloom) goes from being a widower in a small village to a leader of men during the time of the crusades.

Pros

A good cast and the extra scenes added back to the movie are essential as opposed to little sound bites. A major character that was missing in the theatrical version was added back into the Director's Cut. This addition is necessary to explain why some of the decisions and events happened the way they did. And for those of you that like extras, look no further.

Cons

It's a long movie coming in at over 3 hours. Some of the scenes could have been chiseled down a little bit.

If you liked the theatrical version of this film, you'll love this cut. If you didn't care for it that much, give the director's cut a try.
