Plot |
Horus, the Greek Sky God, has only seven days to live. It's the year 2095 and Horus visits New York City to look for a girl to impregnate and a human body to control to make it happen. This leads to a series of events that are better left to for you to discover.

Pros |
First and foremost, 95% of the CGI in this film is eye popping; yes, like "300" and "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", this is a movie shot with a handful of actors and props but everything else is CGI. There were a number of occasions when I simply pushed the pause button on the remote to stare and the screen. The story is really not all that thought provoking yet kept my attention from start-to-finish with a number of interesting plot additions. The film was only shot in English but all the extras are in French with English subtitles. |
Cons |
Then you have the other 5% of the CGI; it seems they can render some 3-D people a lot better than others. Distracting, yes. So distracting that you can't watch the movie, no. |

Recommendation |
This is apparently based on a French comic book and it's obvious that the creators were fans of another French film done in English, "The Fifth Element". This isn't an action-packed film but something more along the lines of "Blade Runner"; slow deliberate pacing with very little along the lines of action but a lot to do with dialogue. If you're a Sci-Fi fan, what have you got to lose? |
