Plot |
A scholar is hired on by Count Dracula to index his library but neither man seems to be whom they appear.
|
Pros |
The two leads give a very strong performance helping film maintains it's creepiness while surrounded by some very lovely ladies. Even though the plot is fairly simple, the pace and short length of the movie will keep your attention. And last, but not least, the sets were simply excellent. |
Cons |
This film is over 50 years old so the sound leaves a lot to be desired (Dolby Digital 1.0 mono) and the special effects that they attempted are certainly dated and even amusing by today's standards. And to be honest, the plot is fairly predictable to any Dracula fan. |

Recommendation |
This is the first of many movies staring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing in the role's of Dracula and Dr. Van Helsing respectively and shouldn't be missed by anyone who considers themselves a fan of this genre. This is one of those films that you should put in after the sun goes down and it's quiet outside; that will more than make up for the audio track. |
