A dedicated and professional police officer (Pacino) goes head-to-head against a dedicated and professional criminal (De Nero). What more needs to be said?

I'm not even sure where to start with this. Even the casual movie buff will recognize six of the actors in this movie by name alone and will recognize many more once the movie starts; Pacino, De Nero, Kilmer, Voight, Sizemore, Trejo, Levine, Portman, etc. Though this film was most noted for the fact that it starred both Pacino and De Niro, they only share two scenes together; one of which is a classic. This is a great story with equally great acting.

This film lasts for almost three hours. There are a few scenes that could have easily been cut, I'm not sure that the movie would have been better if they were. And for a movie of this stature, where are the extras?

If you're a guy, this is a must have. There are even some scenes for the fairer sex. They have come out with a special edition, I'm not sure if it's worth the double-dip after reading what it includes.
