There are a couple of Russian nuclear satellites left over from the cold war floating around in space. They are very powerful weapons that have fallen into the wrong hands. Bond and a very lovely Russian programmer are out to stop this from happening.

As with most other 007 movies, you have some campy one liners and over-the-top action events. This doesn't disappoint, I especially love the tank scene. Sean Bean plays a very good villain and all programmers have known someone like Boris (Cumming). Xenia (Janssen) has a very unique way of killing people, sometimes when they are at their most vulnerable.

This movie just seems to drag in places. Many of the scenes are very dark and none of the bad guys can shoot worth a damn.

Lot's of fun with some built in time for a nap or two. This is Brosnan's first attempt at Bond and he does a very admirable job of it. See if you can spot Minnie Driver strangling a cat. :-)
