This is the first spaghetti western that Eastwood starred in ("For a Few Dollars More" and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" are the other two). Clint strolls into a small Mexican town that has two feuding families running it; the Rojo's who deal in liquor and the Baxter's who deal in guns. He plays both of them off each other to make a little money.

The first twenty minutes sets the stage even though they apparently can't tell the difference between a horse and a mule. Clint is only out for a buck but shows that he's also not such a bad guy himself.

Don't stare at the actor's mouths when they're talking, some of the dubbing is very bad. All the actors spoke in their native tongue and then the film was dubbed into English. Parts of the extras were also included on "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" two-disc set.

Of the three "Spaghetti" westerns staring Eastwood, it's a lot more "fun" than the other two but the story isn't as strong. If you're a Clint Eastwood fan, this is a must.
