After the Third World War it was decided that the best way to ensure there wasn't another great war was to suppress everyone's emotions with a drug. Everyone had to take it or face the penalty of death. One of the enforcers of this law (Bale) neglects to take his drug one day and begins to question the logic behind the law.

It has a great color scheme and overall theme. And for those of you into gun porn, you will find a number of scenes most satisfying.

Killing dogs is always bad! Plus, since this movie is about squashing emotions, the dry monotone conversations can get annoying after awhile. You can definitely see the impact that the Matrix movies had on this film.

If you like action flicks with a deeper plot than most, you'll want to check this film out. For some reason I didn't like this as much the first time I saw it a few years ago. I must not have been in the mood for gun porn. :-)
