Plot |
Ten criminals are purchased from their foreign captors by a millionaire that is putting together the ultimate survivor show (think "The Running Man" meets "Suvivor"). They are dropped off on an island with explosives attached to their ankles. They have 30 hours to be the last person alive or everyone dies.

Pros |
This is actually well-acted and a decently written movie. Having Steve Austin in it is a major plus (like Dwayne Johnson he comes from professional wrestling) because he can actually play a believable role as a bad-ass. Also there are no green screens; this was shot entirely on site. So when they're standing on the edge of a cliff in the film, they were actually standing on an edge of a cliff. |
Cons |
The plot is fairly predictable and you should already know who's going to win. I also can't think of any other R-rated action films with lots of lovely women in it that stay fully clothed throughout. What's up with that? :-) |

Recommendation |
This is a brain-dead action flick where you can actually understand every word the lead actor speaks (unlike Stallone or Schwarzenegger). And, in all honesty, he's much more intimidating than Chuck Norris. Action film fans will not be disappointed and the ladies get to stare at a buffed out Austin (he was down to 4% body fat) for almost two hours. |
