Plot

Follow an eight year old boy through his quest to get a Red Ryder Ranger Model Air Rifle for Christmas along with all of the events that happens to him on an average school day. The story is told by the child after he got older with humor and perspective (as seen through a child's eye).

Pros

Simply put, this is a very entertaining and funny movie. I'm not sure which is funnier, the bunny suit, his dad's obsession with the leg lamp, the mall Santa Claus, or the comparison of tastes between different brand of soaps (trust me, there's more). This has the type of humor I like best; a little dark and sarcastic.

Cons

Where's the blood, gore and naked women? Oh, that's right, this is a Christmas flick-..

Recommendation

This has become my favorite Christmas movie and the one I'm more than willing to put in during the holidays. I'm sure kids would enjoy this movie but I it will be much more appreciated by adults. I wonder if my wife will let me buy a leg lamp next year to put in the window next to the tree (or instead of)? Hmmmmmmmmm.

Trivia: The actor that played the boy who's tongue got stuck on the pole grew up to do porn movies.
