It's 1974 and a sorority house is being haunted by a psycho making sick phone calls to the girls. One-by-one, girls turn up missing.

This was done before horror was equated to gore. You don't know who the killer is through the movie and the suspense continues to grow from start-to-finish; much of it has to do with the excellent camera work. There are a number of fine actors that everyone will recognize that were, for the most part, starting their career. Keep an eye on Margot Kidder's shirt in the opening scenes and how many buttons are buttoned from one to the other (oops). I love the ending!

If you're looking for gallons of fake blood and lots of naked women (it is a sorority after all) you will be disappointed.

This belongs on the shelf of every horror movie buff. Yes, it is over thirty years old but it still holds up. If you really like the film, take the time to check out the extras. This should be watched every Christmas Eve. :-)
