Pros |
As the film-makers state in the making-of featurette, they didn't want to bog down the movie with a lot of dialogue or character development and they succeeded. For a low-budget film they had a number of really effective scenes and some of the special effects were well done (I loved the ripped off jaw). I'm guess a third of their $30,000 budget was spent on fake blood and body parts. |
Cons |
Stop shaking the damn camera! If you suffer from motion sickness you might want to avoid this film. And what's with the video format? IMDb states that it was filmed in 1.66:1 yet the case says it's 1.85:1. What you get is a rectangular picture in the middle of your widescreen TV. If I didn't know any better, I would think that the top and bottom of the picture was cropped to make it look widescreen; this would explain why heads seem to be cut off in a couple of the scenes at a party. And last but not least, what's with the ending? The movie is only 75 minutes long, couldn't we do better than "To be continued..." replacing what should have been the finale with the last two characters standing? |

Recommendation |
This was shot in nine days so it is what it is; a low budget film with tons of fake blood and no-name actors just starting to work on their craft. If you're not subject to motion sickness, love gory horror flicks but hate dialogue and character development, then give this movie a spin. I am curious about how they came to naming this film. |
