Plot |
A young and lonely French woman finds a tin full of objects hidden in her apartment left by a previous tenant's son years before. She finds his identity and anonymously returns the items to the now adult man. Once she sees the positive effects it has on him, she decides to dedicate her life to helping others.

Pros |
This movie wouldn't work without the lovely and talented Audrey Tautou. Her facial expressions often speak louder than her words. I've only seen her in one other film at the time of this writing, "Dirty Pretty Things", and will continue keeping my eyes out for her in the future. |
Cons |
Unless you're fluent in French you will have to adjust to subtitles. Unfortunately, it only has subtitles in English for the hearing impaired; so you will also have descriptions pop up explaining the sounds that are occurring. Including an English only track would have been nice. And sorry men, the lovely Ms Tautou keeps her clothes on. |

Recommendation |
Have you had a bad day/week at work and need some cheering up? No problem. Go to the fridge, grab a drink or fix a bowl of ice cream and enjoy this film. If this can't put a smile on your face, I'm not sure what can. |
