A paranormal detective (Slater) and an awfully young anthropologist (Reid) try to unravel a mystery involving a gate and a bunch of evil creatures. Oh, there's also a government paranormal agency, the 713, there to help them. This sounds like an episode of the X-Files; in all actuality it should have been.

Tara Reid is really cute.

This movie is so bad I actually had to watch it in two settings. I turned it off after 50 minutes the first time and forced myself to finish it the next day. The only people you can blame for this mess are the director and writer(s); the actors can't be held responsible other than the fact that they accepted this role.

Yet another movie based on a video game by Uwe Boll (Bloodrayne, House of the Dead); enough already. I picked this up on a sales rack simply because I like most of the work that Slater has done; I wish I had my $5 and 96 minutes back.
